Happy (year) endings
Happy January to everyone. It has been an exciting few weeks for the Naked Wine Show, and I thought I would share the joy with all of you.
In December, I was named as one of the Best Diarists for 2009 by the National Post. http://www.nationalpost.com/todays-paper/story.html?id=2386947. You may recall that I posted trip diary entries from my week cycling through France’s Loire Valley in June. The unabridged versions can be found as a blog posting on our Web site. Being singled out for commendation by a national newspaper was pretty heady stuff, and more than one copy of it was purchased for the NWS scrapbooks.
On January 14, 2010 the Tasty Awards (www.tastyawards.com) were held in San Francisco. Naked Wine Show was honoured with the award for Best Critic or Review Series. It was considered a bit of an upset, since we were up against the well-known online program Wine Library TV. This award was a thrilling win for us on the NWS team, given the quality of the competition, but also because the award was Viewers’ Choice. It means that people just like you helped us to win, and on behalf of all of us, I would like to extend my sincere, humble gratitude for the support.
